This time of unprecedented stress and hardship has taken a toll on us all - especially mentally. For teachers delivering virtual instruction, it is critical to engage in self-care. It is also essential for us to remind our students that they should practice self-care as well. A graphic I saw stated the following: "Mind full or Mindful?" Most times, I fall under the "mind full" category, especially now that so many worries and thoughts are weighing on all of our minds. I know that many of my students feel the same way. Practicing mindfulness has been a goal of mine for this school year, and it has positively impacted me more than I could have imagined.
I invite you to join the conversation on mindfulness in the world language classroom. Let's chat about mindfulness techniques for teachers and for students. Shout-out to Wayside Publishing for giving me this fantastic opportunity to connect with teachers across the country and across the globe in their Live Q&A session, happening on the Proficiency Talks LIVE Facebook group on Thursday, May 14th, at 4:30pm EST.
Come ready with questions, and let's join together to be part of the solution to achieve a more stress-free life. While we are living through dark times at the moment, mindfulness is a key strategy to get us out of our current slump and sadness. We got this! Talk with us!

Sending healing, happy vibes.
